Safe and Sound Dog Walkers

  1. All clients will be deemed to have accepted Safe and Sound Dog Walkers' terms and conditions on use of any current services.
  2. The client will inform Safe and Sound Dog Walkers of any illness, condition or concerns before a walk. Safe and Sound Dog Walkers reserves the right to refuse to take a dog should we feel that a dog's condition could cause harm to itself or affect other dogs attending the walk.
  3. All dogs must be microchipped, vaccinated and wear a secure collar and tag with client contact telephone number and name. Your dog will also be required to wear a Safe and Sound Dog Walkers ID tag whilst in our care, provided by us.  Safe and Sound will require proof of annual vaccination.
  4. The client is responsible for all veterinary bills, no matter how they are incurred, whilst in the care of Safe and Sound Dog Walkers.
  5. In the event of an emergency, Safe and Sound Dog Walkers will take your pet to their assigned veterinary surgery unless there is a need to go to the nearest vet and the client will be responsible for all bills incurred.  If Safe and Sound Dog Walkers are required to pay a vets bill immediately, it is the clients' responsibility to reimburse Safe and Sound Dog Walkers directly.
  6. The client must provide Safe and Sound Dog Walkers with the name and contact number of someone in case of an emergency.  In the event of not being able to make contact with client or emergency contact Safe and Sound Dog Walkers reserves the right to consult with a veterinary surgeon and then make a decision which is in the best interest of the animal.
  7. No services can be provided until a meet and greet session and trial has taken place.
  8. No services will take place until a contract has been signed between client and Safe and Sound Dog Walkers.
  9. The client consents to their dog being photographed, and/or used in any advertising and media by Safe & Sound Dog Walkers without prior approval, unless a  request NOT to do so is made by the client prior to signing a contract.  All such media remains the property of Safe and Sound Dog Walkers.
  10. By signing a contract a client is authorizing Safe and Sound Dog Walkers to perform dog walking/pet visits/small animal care services.
  11. All dogs will be exercised on a lead unless prior agreement has been reached with Safe and Sound Dog Walkers.  Please see section 4 of pet care on the Safe and Sound contract.  At all times lead walking will remain at the discretion of Safe and Sound Dog Walkers.
  12. In the circumstances of extreme weather conditions (heat, ice, snow and thunder) Safe and Sound Dog Walkers may cut a walk short or cancel if necessary.  Safe and Sound Dog Walkers will inform the client at the earliest opportunity.  The client will not be charged for cancelled services.
  13. Working hours are between 8 am and 6 pm Monday to Sunday.
  14. Safe and Sound reserves the right to refuse entire male dogs at any time.
  15. Safe and Sound will not walk bitches in season (up to 28 days) or pregnant but a home visit substitution will be available.  
  16. Safe and Sound Dog Walkers reserves the right to refuse or stop walking any dog that does not fit, or for any reason that doesn't fit with Safe and Sound Terms and Conditions.
  17. Safe and Sound Dog Walkers will not be responsible for any items lost, stolen or damaged (leads, collars, tags, etc)
  18. Safe and Sound Dog Walkers shall not be responsible for any damage to the clients' property, or that of others, caused by the clients' pet(s) during the period in which they are in Safe and Sound Dog Walkers care.
  19. All invoices must be paid in full by bank transfer within 7 working days.
